I'm going to propose something here that I've seen elsewhere: a collective poem (aka "exquisite corpse"). The idea is that each person posts a line of poetry. Normally, the poet-at-the-moment only gets to see the previous line, and goes from there, which usually turns up some interesting results in the larger piece. However, since that might not work in this context, it'll probably still pan out if you read the entire thing before you add your line. Still, I would wait until you've added it, then read the whole thing. And, since there really isn't an "end" with a forum like this, it might be worth checking back to see how it evolves. That is, if this idea actually picks up speed. If not, well, I say blame the unwilling poets!
So, the next post is the first line (or the presumptive title). I'm no poet, but since I'm the one proposing this as a "topic" I'll bear the burden. I have no doubt that those to follow will eclipse whatever I start with... so here goes...
