AND ANOTHER THING-- No, just kidding. So! What's everybody up to? How's stuff? How's it going? How's life? Kinda slow around here lately. Did we ever figure out how music and virtue relate? Something to do with beer, right? If Gilbert and Sullivan got in a hatchet fight, who would win? (I got five on the Gilbs.) How's Lent? Anybody else give up coffee? It's Sunday today, so I'm drinking coffee. Can you tell? I've gotta say, in retrospect, it seems like our default assumption should've been that Raindear was a feminine name. There was a lot more difficulty about that than there probably needed to be. I mean--Raindear. It's a pretty name. Definitely a lady's name. I suppose it could be a dude's name, in a "Boy Named Sue" kind of way, but that almost begs the question, doesn't it, since the whole point of that would be precisely to toughen up the boy by subjecting him to constant animadversion because of his non-masculine name? Not enough people use the word "Animadversion" these days for my money. It's very handy if you want to write a double dactyl. Didn't Obama have a sudden bout of speaking in double dactyls the other day? So, Qaddafi. STILL causing trouble. I'm just old enough to remember him pissing us off in the early 80s. Iron Eagle, remember? Anybody? Okay, no, never mind. It was like a bargain basement Top Gun. Kelly McGillis! She got married to a chick recently. Strange world. I guess she's still a sex symbol and all, but it's sort of harder to entertain the possibility that she'll suddenly turn up on my doorstep someday. (I'm a dude, by the way. Firefolk. Dude name, right? I mean, I guess it could be a chick name. In Tolkien, the sun was female and the moon was male. Weird. Maybe just JRRT going against the flow for the hell of it. Actually, the name's Jamey. Now, THAT, I can understand having a gender confusion over. My brothers are Chris and Pat. We could've been three little maids from school. Aaaaaaand, we're back at G&S! Well remembered, well remembered.) See that? NEVER forget to close your parentheses. Let's see, where were we? Oh right, babbling. I'm gonna stop. FREEBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!
