Can't we muster any concerted effort to embolden some life in this forum? Each member should be required to contribute at least one thread to the forum in the next week. So say I!

So say all of us!
Message boards must grow organically - no spontaneous eruption of wit, prose, and hilarity is reached at once. It is like a party where you know no one - you hold your cup and inch around a bit, looking for strategic shadowed places from which you may observe the multitudes without unduly disturbing them.
But we can't all be observers. Such is not within all of y'all's or mine's nature. The ribaldry will break out here, the Aquinas there, the Wodehouse will walk, the Greene will attempt, the Alcott will show her darker side, and the Brontes will dance with Catholicism. Some incendiary and contrary post might work as an agent upon the mind - rousing it and causing it to send the dogs of war out. Except that such ruses often result in annihilation, rather than dialogue. And so there is a conundrum - to meet the truth, to wreak violence, or to let slide into barely-being. It takes you. And you. And you - to meet the truth.
Speak! (-if you are willing) And enter into an abode of thoughtful and well-meant conversations and criticisms and questions and answers. What is art? Does it imitate life? Do angels create art? What has happened to it in this past century? --- Why am I getting spam calling me a didactic wonder? What do you get when you mix cornstach and water to a thick consistency? Why do solipsists wonder why they never meet other solipsists?

Now that the Catholic Answers Forums are down for maintenance, maybe those folks will wander over here to fulfill their message board needs... Dappled Forums will be bustling with activity in no time!
